ITINERARY

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel with a private van at 07:00 am to start the Sacred Valley tour. We will begin the day by travelling from Cusco over the mountains towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

After driving for 45 minutes, we will visit a small village where the local Quechua speakers will teach us everything from how to dye and weave alpaca wool. Afterwards, you will have a chance to buy some alpaca souvenirs/presents for your family and friends. You will see llamas and alpacas during this tour, where you will have a chance to take some selfies! These animals are the unique Andean animals. Then we will continue to one of the viewpoints of the Sacred Valley, known as Mirador de Taray. Here you will be amazed by the awe-inspiring views of the Sacred Valley and the Urubamba River. (The source of the longest river in the world – the Amazon River). Continuing on, we will visit and explore with our guide one of the largest archeological sites of the sacred valley of the Incas – Pisac.

After the guided tour, we will keep driving along the beautiful valley of the Incas and Urubamba River (Wilcamayu River) for about 1 hour to reach Urubamba, where we will have a typical lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, we will continue to the archeological site of Ollantaytambo. At this enigmatic site, we will have a comprehensive guided tour from our professional guide and explore The Temple of the Sun, which is aligned with the nearby mountains to track important astronomical events including solstices.

Next, we will visit the mysterious circular terraces of moray which according to studies, was a botanical garden made by the Inca people.

Lastly, we will visit Chinchero, the living Inca town; here is where the archeological site awaits you.

Finally, we will go back to Cusco for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. We will then return to your hotel around 6pm.
